Arrangement of space and massing on site
Selsdon Road is a three-storey residential building comprising eight much needed new homes. It is situated on a backland site to the rear of an existing residential block that slopes steeply up to railway tracks. The façade design responds to the language of the existing buildings in a contemporary and robust manner. The elegant and well detailed composition of panels of brick and the generously proportioned openings reference the existing residential block situated within the site boundary. The use of characterful arched entrances, symmetrical form and the warm red brick reference Sunny Nook Gardens, situated to the north of the proposed development.
