Our scheme at 24 Station Road reinvigorates a prominent corner plot in the centre of South Norwood by creating 14 new homes two minutes’ walk from Norwood Junction Station. The site had previously been used as a surface level car park and had been vacant for nearly 30 years.
Pump House is the first residential building to be completed as Common Ground Architecture. It is located in the South Norwood Conservation Area, and has been designed to reinstate confidence and elegance back in the heart of Station Road . The design has been strongly influenced by the Art Deco cinema that once stood on the site next door. The ground floor will accommodate a new library for South Norwood.
The scheme is part of the innovative Croydon Smaller Sites Programme delivered by development company Brick by Brick. Planning was granted in May 2017 and will be completed Spring 2020.
